Living romantically

A year ago, I decided on a mantra for senior year of college, dropped my Econ major (there were two classes left for my degree that would have taken ~12 hours a week all put together, and attendance was mandatory), and bought (after years of desi-parent-derived fear mongering) some whey protein.

The resulting past year has been the best one of my life (a life goal of a sentence to keep reusing every year going forward), and there’s so much to be grateful for. The mantra worked – life is way more meaningful when living romantically, and as post-grad life is settling in, I’m gonna try to keep the approach.

Firsts (times, possessions, ideas): car, full-time job, apartment, time skiing successfully, guitar performed with others, real cowboy hat, damaging + repairing car, job quit, startup formally worked at, college degree, solo international travel, getting up on a wakeboard, drinks with family / professors, clubbing abroad, steakhouse dinner (great charcuterie), pub crawl, professional soccer game (Premier League), college basketball game, formal writing distributed, non-family new years party, running into a friend at a random airport, SXSW, full round of golf, furnishing from scratch, trading account zeroed out, taxes overpaid, metal credit card, fully silent meditation, putting out a real fire
